This position will work closely with designers, product managers, engineers, data analysts, marketing and content strategists to uncover challenges or gaps across the EdPlus digital ecosystem that in turn allows the UX Research team to uncover barriers and shine light on opportunities to improve the user experience. This role will synthesize qualitative and quantitative data sets and deliver compelling analyses that tell the story of our user's behavior and sentiment.The EdPlus User Experience team is responsible for designing solutions and enhancing our current technology stack for a variety of user experience challenges as part of an innovative environment refining how users engage with higher education. DiscountsDepartment NameEdPlus User ExperienceEssential DutiesTake responsibility for fostering culture, advancing our values, and championing engagement in all its forms.Strong collaboration with cross-discipline teams to partner on furthering research opportunities and prioritizing tasks across the entire development cycle.Work closely with designers in order to create and validate UX theories, inform design rationales and measure UX improvements.Effectively communicate and present test plans, research findings, and detailed design rationale.Distill project goals and research questions into well thought-out research plans.Reveal what users need from our products by conducting primary research, exploring behaviors and motivations, and working with diverse teams to develop new features.Collect and analyze user behavior by conducting primary research such as field studies, surveys, benchmark studies, AB testing, user interviews, diary studies, user testing, statistical and sentiment analysis, participatory workshops and usability testing.Design and build dashboards for both qualitative and quantitative metrics.Present ongoing UX performance metrics to stakeholders after projects launch.Conduct and facilitate both in-person and remote focus groups and design sessions to facilitate improved user experience journeys.Design compelling presentations to articulate findings to different audiences.Team expert on persona building and information architecture.Evangelize user experience across all departments.Manage UX research student employees through an agile framework.Assume or coordinate other duties or projects as assigned or directed.Required Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field (e.g.behavioral science, social psychology, HCI, CS, UX) AND one (1) year of industry experience OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.Desired QualificiationsEvidence of a Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.Experience in integrating user research into product designs and design practices. (1 year)Experience with quantitative, qualitative, behavioral and attitudinal research methods and analysisExperience working with UX designersExperience designing dashboardsExperience with qualitative and quantitative research tools such as Hotjar, User Testing, Google Analytics, etc.Experience with presentation and reporting skillsEvidence of knowledge with UX design best practices, trends and techniquesEvidence of knowledge of programming languages including basic HTMLEvidence of ability to work collaboratively with othersEvidence of effective communication skills with a strong attention to detailWorking EnvironmentEdPlus at ASU is located at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center.
