Application Developer

OneNeck, a national IT Solutions provider, has an exciting opportunity on our Business Applications team for an enthusiastic and driven Application Developer.  We are seeking a detail-oriented, team player with a broad technology background who can collaboratively design and create solutions; bridging requirements with best practices.

We are open to filling this position REMOTELY or in / near any of our physical office locations: Scottsdale, AZ; Denver, CO; Urbandale, IA; Eden Prairie, MN; Madison, WI; or Omaha, NE. 

The Application Developer serves as the technical contact responsible for, development and maintenance surrounding OneNeck’s Business Application systems.  The position also assists with escalations and troubleshooting of system issues.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and maintenance of applications.
• Take design specifications and complete projects with consistent quality.
• Act as technical contact for escalations and troubleshooting of advanced issues for OneNeck’s in-house built/customized applications.
• Participate in complex troubleshooting of technical delivery issues.
• Act as escalation point for incident management related to support application and escalate issues that cannot be resolved to the appropriate contact after gathering required details from the end user
• Perform installations, configuration, administration and tuning of many infrastructure systems and applications
• Maintain up to date skills in development technologies
• Act as mentor to Junior level development resources

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience.  Computer science degree or similar degree preferred.
• 4+ years of software development experience in information technology systems that support critical business applications
• Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations.

Other Qualifications

• Experience with SQL server, SQL scripting skills and SSRS/SSIS strongly preferred
• ITSM application/Cherwell experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of object-oriented design and solutions development in the .NET framework including ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, jquery and bootstrap.
• Experience designing and developing C#, JavaScript and SQL based queries and analytics.
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
• Strong understanding of testing, building and deploying applications.
• Familiarity with current development methodologies such as Agile, Lean, etc.
• Experience in API design and implementation (SOAP / REST).
• Experience developing system integrations.
• Server and desktop OS troubleshooting, including knowledge of the Registry, Service Management, and Event Viewer
• Interest in exploring and utilizing new technologies and platforms
