Description
As an RF engineer your core responsibility will be to own the design, testing, and delivery of flight RF systems, radios, antennas, radars, and other RF devices, for space missions anywhere from low earth orbit to Mars!

Description
As an RF engineer your core responsibility will be to own the design, testing, and delivery of flight RF systems, radios, antennas, radars, and other RF devices, for space missions anywhere from low earth orbit to Mars!
Responsibilities
- Work with a cross-disciplinary team to define communications requirements on a mission-by-mission basis, implement RF architectures, and purchase capital equipment
- Trade make-vs-buy on a component-by-component basis
- Develop and test radios, antennas, and other RF devices
- Develop and maintain telemetry budgets
- Work closely with a talented group of electrical, mechanical, software and GNC engineers to produce performant and cost-effective integrated flight systems
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- 3+ years of experience working on RF systems for critical applications
- Proficient in making link budgets and determining requirements for radios, antennas, etc.
- Proficient in testing and troubleshooting RF devices
- Familiar with satellite spectrum licensing laws, agencies, and standards
- Self-motivated and driven to fully own projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate technical challenges, explain rationale and/or resolve concerns
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering related technical field
- Experience designing custom radios, power amplifiers, antennas, or related devices
- Experience designing for a space environment (radiation, vibe/thermal, etc)
- Familiarity with satellite spectrum licensing laws, agencies, and standards
- Experience in a startup or agile development environment
