Electrical Field Service Engineer

Johnson Service Group is seeking a direct hire - Electrical Field Service Engineer for our global manufacturing client in the Northeast.

·       The incumbent will be responsible for Field Service Supervision at client sites.

·       Qualified candidates should have previous experience with the qualification and testing process for statewide Electrical Contractor licensing.

·       This will be a home base role with approximately 80% travel required.

·       Candidates do not need to be based in the states they are licensed in.

·       Salary paid position with Per diem travel costs covered

·       Industrial background is strongly preferred  

·       Internal incentive program – not privy to details, but incentives for additional licenses which in turn means increased compensation

Responsibilities

·       Qualified individuals may perform one or more of the following activities as part of their responsibilities (based on experience and qualifications):

·       As needed, perform commercial, industrial or utility-scale electrical service and maintenance

·       Work with high-voltage (greater than 34kV) equipment experience including circuit breakers, power transformers, gas insulated switchgear or similar power substation assets

·       Participate in the installation, repair, or maintenance of utility or heavy industry high-voltage power systems

·       Work with electrical protection & control system diagnostics & testing for power substations & systems

·       Play an active role in electrical projects or site management, with focus on high-voltage power substation projects for utilities, heavy industry, or similar customers

·       Use engineering or computer-aided design (CAD) software with power substations for utilities, heavy industry, or similar customers

Background

·       High School Diploma/GED and 12-16 years of experience, Associates degree and 10-14 years of experience, or bachelor’s degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience

·       Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the US

·       Candidates must have a valid Master Electrician License in both of the following states: Massachusetts, Rhode Island

These other states are huge plus: New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Vermont, or New Jersey

·       Ability to secure additional Electrician Licenses is highly preferred
