Software Developer (Power Apps/SQL)

Paradigm is seeking a Software Developer to support our client, a global provider of legal services. In this role, you will design, develop and refine new and existing applications using Microsoft Power Apps, Sharepoint and SQL Server. Other functions include developing and refining ETL processes, write updated queries, and ad-hoc queries on behalf of clients and stakeholders for cases with data sets of less than 500,000 claimants with a MS SQL database environment.

Type: Contract (1 Year, Potential to convert to Full Time Employee)

As a Software Developer, you will:

• Design, develop, document and edit applications in the Microsoft Power App platform
• Refining ETL processes, writing update queries, and writing ad-hoc queries on behalf of clients and stakeholders
  
• Evaluate and write SQL queries as well as create and maintain common database objects such as views, stored procedures, and user-defined functions
  
• Utilize code management and/or revision control tools and follow standard software development practices at an expert level
  
• Utilize indexes, common table expressions, temp tables to optimize large SQL queries
• Leverage SSIS to complete various migration tasks and SSRS to visualize and report on data
  

Requirements

Our experience, and skills, wish list includes:

• BS Computer Science or related disciplines, or related experience
• 1+ year hands-on experience writing software in the Microsoft Power App suite.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, 2008 R2 or higher, as a developer
• Advanced development skills with Microsoft Power Apps
• Competent SQL skills, able to create and to evaluate SQL statements involving numerous tables and complex relationships.
• Ability to work in an environment with deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Basic understanding of and experience with query performance tuning.
• Experience developing and maintaining ETL procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; able to adjust for intended audience. Fluency in English.
• Experience with React a plus.
