The Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) is the Premier Vertical Lift military program in the world. Bell's FLRAA aircraft will become the Army's primary assault aircraft for the next 30 years, sunsetting UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and advancing the Army's assault capabilities. The FLRAA program is utilizing the latest in cutting edge technology to expand the United States Army’s tactical advantage in future conflicts. The FLRAA team seeks the top engineering talents from around the industry to design, develop, and deliver the world’s next-generation military aircraft.

The FMS Software Engineer is responsible for developing a set of IMA Software Applications related to the Flight Management System for the FLRAA program.

Position Responsibilities

Develop Flight Management IMA Software Applications
Develop High-Level and Low-Level Requirements
SysML modeling of software design
Perform Configuration Management for developed software

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred. Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Other Engineering degrees with applicable experience is acceptable.

Position Requirements

Experience in developing embedded software, including hardware and software integration is required.
Understanding of Flight Management Systems, Flight Directors, Autonomous System
Experience with C or C++ in a Linux development environment.
Familiarity with software DevOps processes.
Experience with Git version control system or change management systems.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work assignments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.
Demonstrated Communication Skills needed to brief top-level management, customers, and/or large groups on an occasional-to-frequent basis
On-site work is preferred, flexible work situations can be arranged.
