  • Since its inception, WEC has provided low-income weatherization services to citizens of Wyoming through the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) and the Weatherization Assistance Program. In 2005, WEC became the EPA/DOE partner to bring Home Performance with ENERGY STAR to Wyoming. This program is funded by the Wyoming Business Council and has the support of Cheyenne Light, Fuel, and Power as well as its parent organization, Black Hills Corporation. Additionally, in 2005-2006, WEC received funding from Cheyenne Housing and Community Development as well as Montana-Dakota Utilities to perform combustion appliance replacement for qualified low-income individuals.
