  • The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) established a monitoring program in 1986 to collect water quality and biological data on streams that cross state lines. For over 20 years, the SRBC has produced data needed to determine potential impacts on the water quality of interstate streams that was not available from monitoring programs in New York, Pennsylvania, or Maryland. SRBC's ongoing interstate monitoring program is partially funded by a grant from the USEPA.
