  • Since 1967, the Christian Brothers Health Management Services for Religious have provided cooperative programs to help Religious Institutes spread medical costs over time and provide for catastrophic medical expenses. Today the Religious Medical Trusts serve more than 235 participating Religious Institutes with more then 14,000 members through the United States and abroad. In 1967, the Provincials of several Religious Institutes in the Chicago area joined together in a not-for-profit Trust to provide a single source of medical insurance for their members. The provincials started the Religious Comprehensive Trust, and purchased a single insurance contract from an insurance company for
